Little Lama second in London

The first world cup of the season ended successful for our little lama !

He ended second in the first FIS competition in London.
Seppe started big with a huge Cap 12 while almost all of his competitors failed on the hard setting.

Janne Korpi and Torgeir Bergrem had a good first hit and it was already clear who would compete for the podium!
In the second run Seppe sticked a clean back 10.

Immediately it was obvious he just checked the possibility of hitting a back 12 in the last run!
Bummer, Janne also sended a clean 12 down the slope and just ended a few points a head of Seppe.

Big up for Joris Ouwerkerk claiming the third place !

Although a great start of the season for our little lama and we'll be looking forward for the rest of it !

Freestyle Cup Peer_Report

Last weekend the crew gathered in Snowvalley Peer to enjoy the first episode of this years VSSF Freestyle Cup. This years FSC has 5 stops: 2 in Snowvalley for the Big air event, 2 in Ice Mountain hitting the slopestyle course and a rail battle in Park spoor noord, Antwerp.

The first stop had it all: good atmosphere, loads of contestants, deserved winners and a great variety of tricks. No wonder everyone was stoked after the price-giving as we sad down with a beer and enjoyed the evening.

Competition started at noon. Anthony and Christophe, both acting as judges, arranged that every rider had a bib and that the competition was on its way. Hell, heavy job to hand out papers, collect deposit for all the bibs, get the waiver singed and hand out lift tickets for over 40 riders.

We kicked off the show with the youngsters and the ladies in heat 1, heat 2 was the place to be for junior or senior riders. Every rider had 2 jumps, best one counts, in quali to show the 4-headed jury what they we're worth. We took 4 seniors, 5 juniors, 8 youngsters and 4 ladies to the finals.

In those finals the crowd got what they deserved: great skill, variety and a Cab 10 from Seppe. 3 runs here, best one counts. We saw a back 3 over the big kicker from Julie and we're stunned by the performance of some youngsters and juniors.

A word of respect for 2 club trainers, joining the competition with local rider Maxim Van Zonhoven, Pieter Simons and Pascal Calle Bosmans. Calle finished 4th after Pieter who just scored a few points less then Maxim, both with a back 7. Seppe claimed the win with 2 back 9's and a cab 10 in the final.

Sebbe De Buck claimed the title as best junior. Stef Van Deursen finished in second, before Kyle Britton.
Loads of respect and a round of applause for the youngster who are showing progression each time we see them ride! Flor De Laat took the top spot, really sending it with a banger back cork 5 on the big jump. Stefke Vandeweyer ended second with a back 3, Jens Rummens completed the podium.

Hintertux park opening 2011

Hintertux park opening is over for this year. The crew got there Friday morning, but after a whole night of driving they decided to go for a short sleep, but never woke up before 3 in the afternoon !

So Saterday was the first day of riding, after waiting more than an hour for the lift tickets we got up to the park. It was looking sick, a big kicker line, medium line, small kickers, a hip, a (sort of) pipe and a jib line in the end. With the warm weather and the slush it felt like summer all over again !

Since it was so warm Seppe and Anthony decided to try out a new concept for riding. While Seppe was riding in Mt. Hood late season he learned a thing called 'shorts and shades', and it's just what you think it is ! Riding in boardshorts and sunglasses, so much fun !
Sunday we went up the mountain dressed like this and had a photoshoot session with the SCS crew, so expect to see some fun summer shredding pics in the next SCS mag ! unfortunately we forgot our camera at home so we can only show you a teaser of how we looked on the slopes..
After riding we had some fun down at the parking lot with the K2 highest ollie contest, jumping onto the bag jump, playing beer pong ! If you weren't there, make sure you keep those dates free for next year !
